Description
BOSTIK M 938 PRIMER is a synthetic resin solution in aromatic solvent.

Uses
BOSTIK M 938 PRIMER is used in the footwear industry for promoting the adhesion of polyurethane sole attaching adhesives to micro-cellular and thermoplastic EVA soling materials. It is effective on ethylene vinyl acetate materials when the vinyl acetate level is above 14%.

Application Instructions
Apply BOSTIK M 938 PRIMER by brush or roller coating machine to the EVA surface. Allow the primer to dry for a minimum of 5 minutes before applying a coat of polyurethane sole attaching adhesive.

NB : Applied films of the primer can, if so required, be left for up to 14 days before adhesive application.

Bond the primed and adhesive coated sole to the other surface, usually by an activation process followed by pressing.The best results are obtained when the primed and adhesive coated EVA surface is raised to a temperature of about 70⁰C prior to bonding.

NOTE : Shake the container before using the contents.

STORAGE
Store under dry conditions between 10⁰C and 35⁰C. At temperature below 10⁰C, the primer may become slightly gelled. This is not permanent or damaging to the primer bonding properties and can be remedled elther by raising the temperature above 10⁰C or/and shaking or stirring the primer.

SHELF LIFE
One year from data of manufacture under the above conditions or storage.
